Meghan and Harry are distantly related cousins and have genealogical connection. They grew in different worlds but have little bit of relation.
Meghan was born in California, United States in 1981. Harry was born in London, United Kingdom in 1984.
According to reports, Meghan’s father Thomas and Harry’s great granny, the Queen, were related. Through the 15th century, they have common ancestor , Ralph Bowes who was a High Sheriff in County Durham in UK. His family extended in US much later, after his granddaughter Bridget married John Hussey. Bridget’s grandson Christopher Hussey moved to US to settle back in 1632.
Christopher Hussey lived in Massachusetts and he was an ancestor of Thomas who is Meghan’s father. They are related very distantly in the family tree and are considered to be 15th cousins.
Meghan and Harry were titled as Duke and Duchess of Sussex, after they got married in 2018. Meghan joined the royal family after the wedding but just after 2 years, she along with her husband Harry quit from their position as royals.
