Kate Middleton and Roger Federer are excited about teaming up for raising funds for less privileged and vulnerable children. The tennis legend and Duchess of Cambridge will collaborate on a practice day for the Laver Cup.
The Laver Cup Open Practice Day will be held at 02 in London arena on September 22, 2022. The two will host a day in next month for charities of Action for Children and LTA Tennis Foundation.
Kate is a patron of both the charities and she along with her family friend and great tennis star Roger Federer is excited about the venture. Both of their fans will get a chance to see their favorites in court during practices. Many great team players will be there from both Team Europe and Team World.
Kate is very sporty in nature and she has also helped win her team during Sailing Commonwealth Games 2022.
The collaboration was actually Kate’s idea, Kensington Palace said. Federer is a co-founder of Laver Cup and Kate is a patron of these two charities for children, so she thought of raising funds through tennis collaboration. Tennis is mutual interest of both and charity is something which they both are also actively participating.
It will be hosted by Kate Middleton and Federer in East London for children aged between 8 to 15 years. The children will get a chance to play in presence of Federer himself. The Laver Cup Open Practice Day tickets will be sold to the public and it’s sale will benefit both the charity organizations Action for Children and LTA Foundation.
Roger Federer tweeted about the collaboration which was later retweeted by Kate Middleton on her official Twitter account.
