Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, fully supported in the win of team GB against New Zealand in Sailing Commonwealth Games. The Royal Highness was a lucky charm to the team on her visit to the sailing race.
Kate Middleton’s athletic physique impressed everyone when she was on F50 craft prior to the final race. The Duchess of Cambridge stayed to watch the full final race in the event.
Sir Ben Ainslie, 45 year old, said: “The Duchess of Cambridge has sailed with me on foiling boats – so we’re expecting a little bit of extra help.”
Ainslie was the most successful sailor in the Olympic history, during the friendly Sailing race of Commonwealth games which took place at the Great Britain Sail Grand Prix in Plymouth Sound.
On the opposite side, UN ocean ambassador and sea swimmer Lewis Pugh was on New Zealand’s boat. It was an easy win for Great Britain over New Zealand as they were sailing at an speed of 55mph on a windy day before the final day.
Sir Ben Ainslie said: ” Kate is a very good sailor in her own right”. She has been learning sailing since childhood and this sports is one of her passions.
