Katie Nicholl, royal correspondent and journalist at Vanity Fair was recently interviewed by Michael Portillo to discuss Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir and her latest book. She is an author of famous book William and Harry and Kate. She is a also a royal commentator and presenter at TV channels.
She said in her interview with Michael Portillo ‘Prince Harry’s book will be out very soon and that he has already been paid half of the advance amount which is £35M according to my assumptions, being an author of five books.’ It was due to come out at this time of the year as it has been written and edited many times.
Michael Portillo asked her if he is ready to make his living out of insulting his own family at this tough time. To which Katie said ‘A lot of people are thinking the same and the palace is also concerned about it. We know Harry and Meghan have said about it in Oprah and other interviews that they are not afraid to criticize the institution and other members of the royal family. Maybe there are allegations of racism in the memoir as well. She said she can’t believe if prints are going to hand back half of the advance and end the deal on that, we still have to wait.’
Katie Nicholl, royal correspondent, promoted her latest book on the show that if the readers are looking to buy book about Queen’s life, there is my book and plethora of books that are well researched. She emphasized “Please buy the right book!”

Portillo asked her as she said there is a plethora, so if she went on the internet how many books did she find. She replied ‘there is good 10 or 12 books out there and plenty of stuff tor read but it’s your choice who you regularly read in the paper and who you trust with good sources and insights.
The reader are definitely going to choose the most genuine and reliable ones with sources. She claimed that ‘her book has mentioned sources and also named sources which is very important. I was able to search and get quotes from people who work for the royal family and go on record. There is credibility and there are instances where people just won’t. You will see that in my book. You will also see clothes by the late Queen’s cousin and an interview of cameramen of Queen is 40 years old and has never been interviewed before. He spoke to me.’
