Kate Middleton on addiction awareness week- The Princess of Wales addressed those who are battling addiction directly, alerting them that their disease is a significant mental health problem.
In her message, Catherine Middleton stresses the need of understanding and overcome addiction.
The Princess of Wales, who serves as the patron of The Forward Trust, uploaded a video for the “Taking Action on Addiction” initiative, which had its second annual launch on Sunday, which is the first day of Addiction Awareness Week.

One month after the organization’s merger with Action on Addiction, in June 2021, Kate was named the patron of The Forward Trust.
Princess Catherine’s involvement with addiction charities over the past ten years has paved the way for her awareness of the complexity of mental health and influenced a large portion of her work on the formative years of a child’s growth.
What did she say in the video?
“Addiction is a serious mental health condition that can happen to anyone, no matter what age, gender, race or nationality,” Princess Catherine, 40, said.
“As Patron of The Forward Trust, I have met many people who have suffered from the effects of addiction.”
She moved on with, “Attitudes to addiction are changing. But we are not there yet, and we need to be. Still, the shame of addiction is stopping people and families from asking for help and people are still tragically losing their lives. We as a society need to recognize that the only way to help those suffering is to try and understand what has led them to addiction, to empathize with them, and to be compassionate to their struggles.”
Since their three children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, were out of their Lambrook school for a half-term vacation, Princess Catherine and Prince William have avoided public appearances. The royal couple typically reduces their activities throughout the summer in order to spend more quality time with their children.
The children were off from Lambrook school since the autumn break started on October 14. But, on Halloween, a popular childhood holiday, the siblings and their classmates will return to their classrooms.
What did Princess Catherine wear?
In the video posted about Kate Middleton on addiction awareness week, she wore her blue polka-dot “Tory Burch scallop-edged Silk Shirt” once more. She wore the same blouse when she travelled to Wolverhampton in 2021.

Although it’s not confirmed it appears that the Princess paired her Annoushka earrings with the look. Since at least 2012, Kate has owned the Baroque pearl drops. She wears them more often than any other set of earrings.
