Who cried at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral– After the longest-reigning monarch died on September 8, 2022, several royal services were held for the Queen’s mourning. The most recent (and the last one) was the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on the 19th of September. It is a challenging time for the royals as they lost their close family member and have to mourn for her in public, unlike other families. All of the royal family members appeared solemn during the funeral like Catherine Middleton, Prince Harry, King Charles, Lady Louise etc. Some of them couldn’t keep control and even shed some tears.
Princess Charlotte:
Following speculations that the seven-year-old had started crying after the burial service for the Queen on Monday at Westminster Abbey, a photo of Princess Charlotte captured went viral.

The tiny princess Charlotte was photographed bringing her hands up to her eyes while standing at Wellington Arch with her mother, the Princess of Wales, and her brother, Prince George.
As the Queen’s coffin was being transferred from a gun carriage to a hearse, tears began to erupt. The image shows the young princess crying as her mother, Princess Catherine caresses her.
Prince George:
At his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II’s burial Prince George appeared to dab away a tear as the service was beginning.

Then, in an effort to comfort her son, Kate was seen tenderly placing her hand on his knee. This was spotted by people around the world.
Duchess Meghan Markle:
Another photo shows the tearful duchess closing her eyes and struggling to control her feelings as the Queen’s procession leaves Westminster Abbey.

Meghan Markle was seen in photos from the funeral with a tear streaming down her face, suggesting that the solemn occasion appeared to make her emotional.
Another image shows her standing close to Sophie, Countess of Wessex, appearing to wipe her face, but her hat hides her face.
Countess of Wessex Sophie:
One of those impacted was Sophie Wessex, who was seen wiping her eyes in the car after what must have been a tiring day for her and her husband, Prince Edward.

In a sweet scene, Sophie was spotted putting her arm around Prince George’s shoulder as the family members prepared to depart.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex joined in the procession as the Queen’s funeral was taken into Westminster Abbey before the service began, along with other members of the royal family.
Prince Edward:
In addition, Prince Edward was seen wiping his face when his wife, Sophie, turned to face him. After a little pause, Sophie retrieved a tissue and wiped away her tears.
During the funeral for his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, the Earl of Wessex was noticed wiping tears away.
Video evidence from the service in the Abbey reveals that Prince Edward, the Queen’s youngest son, cried a little while sitting there and used a tissue to wipe his eyes and nose.
