The Crown, Netflix’s hit royal drama, has a new Camilla. Olivia Williams will play Camilla in The Crown’s final two seasons.
The show is known for recasting its stars as the story progresses. Actress Emerald Fennell played Camilla in seasons three and four, and now Williams is set to play Camilla in the final two seasons. Previously, on 9th March 2022, Emerald Fennell met the real Camilla Parker Bowles too at an event at Clarence House to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Who is Olivia Williams?
Williams, 53, has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including Wes Anderson’s Rushmore (1998) and the science fiction show The Nevers (2021). Williams, on the other hand, has no desire to be a famous person, telling The Guardian last year, “I’ve been close enough to [stardom] to see how horrifying it is. It’s like some sort of dream.”

Williams can be seen wearing a green trench coat similar to one Camilla wore in 1995 in photos from the set of The Crown season 5. Her hair is styled in Camilla’s classic bob.
Season five of The Crown will officially launch on November 9, 2022, and will likely focus on Queen Elizabeth’s “annus horribilis” (“horrible year”) in 1992, as well as Charles and Diana’s public split and divorce.
